Milton Babbitt, John Cage, and Finnegans Wake
20th century post-modern musical heavyweights Milton Babbitt and John Cage have both cited Finnegans Wake as their favorite work of literature.  Fascinatingly, both artists' compositional approaches were almost diametrically opposed to each other.  In this session, we will explore the influence and confluence of Finnegans Wake in the works of these composers.
